How do I reserve my first class?

Your first Core Revolution experience (Barre, Circuit or Cycle) is on us should you chose that option (see our pricing for new clients). Please call the studio, so that we can answer your questions and ensure that your first experience is amazing. In the future, you’ll be able to book via our reservation system on our site.

What happens when I get to the studio?

We always recommend arriving early to your class. This way you can store any personal items in the lockers. Stop by the self-serve check-in counter at the front entrance. At the time of your class, head on in to the bike or mat that you reserved and get ready to rock!

How do I create an account/reserve a class?

Getting started is easy! Here’s a quick list to guide you through the process:

  1. Create an account on our site.
  2. Buy credits or select a monthly membership level.
  3. Find the best date and time for your first class. If you like, learn more about each instructor and find the one that’s the best fit for you.
  4. Reserve a class and select your specific bike or mat location.

That’s it! We told you it was simple.

What does it mean to be on the waitlist?

At peak times our classes can fill up quickly. In the event the day and time you want to reserve is completely booked, you’ll have the option to be placed on a waiting list. Should someone cancel their reservation, we will automatically pull from this list on a first come, first served basis. You will be notified via email if you are being taken off the waitlist and added to your selected class. If you are moved from the waitlist within 2 hours of class time we will text and/or call you.

When can I sign up for classes?

Our schedules are posted on a rolling basis and will always include the next seven days worth of classes. Class reservations can be made at any time. Spots tend to reserve quickly, so be sure to sign up for your classes as early as possible to ensure your preferred day and time.

How far in advance do I have to cancel a class to avoid penalty?

We get it, life sometimes gets in the way. If you need to cancel your spot in a class, we ask that you do so no later than 5:00 pm the day before. If you cancel a class after 5:00 pm, you’ll be charged one credit or $20 for unlimited account members. Classes may be canceled online at our website before 5:00 pm the day before, under the My Account tab.

What happens if I don’t attend a class I’ve reserved?

Per class missed, you’ll be charged one credit or $20 for unlimited account members.

It’s been a little while since I’ve really worked out . . . what if I can’t keep up?

Don’t worry! Our classes are designed to be accommodating no matter your fitness level. Each bike has an adjustable resistance level, allowing you to scale the difficulty level up or down. Over time, you’ll see your fitness level progress as you increase the resistance level of the bike – all at your own pace. In Barre or Circuit your instructor will be happy to assist with modifications and/or exercise options.

How do I know if I'm improving/how do I track my performance over time?

At Core Revolution, we believe in tracking performance and celebrating improvement. In recent years, the world of sports science has grown tremendously with elite athletes using data to improve their performance. By integrating technology into your workout, you’ll be able to track/monitor key metrics such as heartrate, calories burned and accumulated watts, also known as Spivi Energy Points (SEP). As a result, you’ll be better prepared to set and track goals, perform at a higher level and see the history of your progress. Your class stats will be emailed to you at the conclusion of each class.

I am bringing friends with me and it’s all of our first times - do they all need to create accounts?

Please call the studio to reserve a spot for you and your friends. If you already have an account you can hold a spot for up to 5 friends however, they still need to call the studio.

Because you can reserve up to five spots with your account, they won’t need to create an account before they arrive. However, each person must fill out a New Client Waiver Form and create an account once onsite. If you are bringing friends, please be sure to arrive early and allow extra time to complete this process before the class. Also, if a rider is under the age of 18, please be sure to have their parent or guardian sign the waiver in person.

Is there an age or height requirement to ride at Core Revolution?

We know age is just a number, but at Core Revolution that number must be at least 12 in order to ride. In addition, a rider must be at least 4'11" tall to properly fit on the bike. Also, if a rider is under the age of 18, please be sure to have their parent or guardian sign the waiver in person. If a client is under age 15 they must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Should I combine Barre, Cycle and circuit training classes?

Yes! There’s no better way to get a full-body workout than by combining the different class types into your weekly workout routine. By doing so, you’ll increase your cardiovascular fitness, as well as tone and shape your body. Plus, by mixing it up, you’ll keep things fresh and exciting.

Are Barre and Cycle credits interchangeable?

No. You’ll need to purchase separate credits for Barre and Cycle classes. Unfortunately, once purchased credits cannot be swapped between the class types.

Is there any way to make the seat more comfortable?

We remember our first few rides . . . and you might need a little time to get adjusted to the bike saddle (seat). When you first start out we recommend wearing padded bike shorts or using one of the cushioned gel seats we provide in class. Over time, you’ll get adjusted to the saddle and probably won’t need either, but in the beginning feel free to try these approaches to improve your comfort. Gel seats are also available to purchase at the studio.

Do I need to purchase cycling shoes? Do they really make a difference?

At Core Revolution we provide complimentary cycling shoes for all of our guests. Cycling shoes allow you to be more efficient on the pedals, while offering greater stability, which results in a more complete workout. Over time, you might choose to purchase your own cycling shoes, but we’ve got you covered if you don’t!

How many calories will I burn per class?

So, there are several variables that come into play when attempting to calculate average calories burned, including bodyweight and level of physical exertion during the workout. However, from our experience, as well as some really smart scientific research, you can expect to burn anywhere from 600-800 calories in a 45-minute cycle workout and 400-600 calories in a 45-minute Barre class or circuit class.

How do I adjust the bike for my body?

Our bikes are easily adjustable, allowing you to adapt the bike to your needs. There are four ways to do this:

1. Raise/lower the saddle (seat)

2. Saddle forward and back

3. Raise/lower the handle bars

4. Handlebars forward and back

Need help finding the right set up? Our instructors, or anyone on our staff, can assist you to get the right fit before a class.

What should I wear to a Cycle class?

First things first, always be comfortable. However, please don’t wear loose-fitting or baggy pants, as they could get caught in the pedals. If it’s your first few rides you might want to wear padded bike shorts as you get accustomed to the bike saddle (seat).

Are Core Revolution cycle classes safe?

Yes. Our program was created by Creative Director Autumn Chandler (see bio) with safety deliberately in mind and everything that we do in class has a purpose. All Core Revolution instructors are certified, qualified and highly trained. We always recommend consulting with your doctor or other qualified healthcare professional before beginning any exercise program.

What is Barre anyway?

Our Barre classes are 45-minute, full-body workouts which combine of postures drawn primarily from Pilates, but also yoga and ballet. Classes are designed to tone and sculpt your muscles by focusing on holding your body positions while contracting a specific set of muscles. By combing high numbers of repetitions with a small range-of-motion, you’ll feel the burn in no time.

I’m not in the best shape, can I still participate in a Barre class?

Our Barre classes are designed for all fitness levels. We all remember our first class, and believe us when we say it was a challenge for us, too.

Follow this simple rule: Do what you can. Listen to your body and if you need to take a pause feel free to do so. Our instructors will work with you to scale the difficulty up or down based on your needs. But not to worry, over time you’ll increase your strength and stamina and will be up for anything the instructor throws your way!

How many Barre classes per week should I take to see results?

As with anything, nothing happens overnight – you gotta work for it. Three classes per week is ideal for you to see the results of your efforts in increased muscle tone and strength. However, if you attend consistently, you can begin to see a positive change in your body with one to two class per week over time.

What should I wear to a Barre class?

Form-fitting clothing with socks or bare feet. You’ll want to be able to have a full range of motion and see your body.
